i type, you read. simple as that.

Archive for tired rambling

just a lot of rambling… notice a pattern?

i definitely need to re-stock on film for my polaroid camera… since the people at polaroid have decided to be fools and now only produce digital cameras, i’m at a loss for film (all places around here have had to send back their leftover film to polaroid). i’m pissed, and now i have to go to eBay to find film for my camera which i have enjoyed now for about three years; stupid corporations and their money-making.

i’m still waiting to hear about my student loan (i almost wrote “stupid loan”), and i’ve got to say that i’m jittery about the whole thing… i just really want to find out as soon as possible how much money i have coming to be so that i can figure out everything for the upcoming year. damn loan people, just email me already, please?

my iTunes library has been cut-down from the 10 000 songs that i had before my external hard drive failed to almost 4000 which includes a whole bunch of new music (considering logan listed off his entire playlist by artists for me to download)… not too bad, it doesn’t feel like i’ve been faced with loss, but more-so that i’ve just done some accidental spring cleaning

i need to get supplies for university… i also need to sleep

i also need to start/finish my work on the back-to-school supply drive for work; it starts on saturday and i still have to do up a few things for the lunchroom and everything. hurray, i guess that means i’ll be going in early for shifts again this year to get everything sorted out.

i think it’s safe to say that i should go to sleep now…

late-night rambling

trying to fall asleep yet again… not really working in my favour at the moment

my music has been re-downloaded! well, all except for my L7 discography, but that’s on the way as i type this… today wasn’t too bad, a big of a long and boring night at work, but all-in-all, it was good. drove around with dee for a bit afterward and we ended up hitting an owl. the poor thing was hobbling across the road and then it tried to fly but wasn’t quick enough and just bumped the hood of the car (which was going about fifty kilometers an hour or so). we turned around to see if it was still there, but it wasn’t, so i’m hoping that it’s still alive or something.

i work every night this week except for friday night, then i’m off to magic mountain for the weekend… i’m really pumped, i’ve got to say. if all works out, tubski may come up on friday night, but with basically nobody interested in taking his shift at work, i don’t think it’ll pan out. whatever, this weekend will still be good.

i’m going to try to sleep now.

reservations

roughly one month until i throw myself into a whirlwind of university… i’m going to say right now that i will be glad when i get my student loan paperwork back, along with confirmation of scholarships/bursaries so that i can sleep without worrying if i’m going to be able to pay for it all

i was assigned a room tonight: basic double room in seminary house… my favourite residence on campus, but the hitch is that i will have a room-mate. i looked him up on facebook and he seems like a nice enough guy, but i was really hoping that i would get a single room, thus i contacted the residence life department to see what i could do about that. if it doesn’t work out, then i will do the double room thing, i’m just weird about having to share my space and all that jazz.

currently stressing out about things that i should not be stressing out about because at the moment they are all out of my hands and i have to work in the morning… speaking of work, i ended up working from open until close today (a total of about thirteen and a half hours) because people called in sick; at the end of my shift it felt as if someone had taken a sawed-off shotgun to my kneecaps… yeah, my legs tend to randomly hurt

putting this out there right now: i suck at falling asleep. yeah.

i have to clear my head.

counting down the days until friday… i’m picking up my contact lenses, getting a small haircut and then going off to see joel plaskett in dartmouth

haven’t worn contacts in almost a year… this should be interesting

attempting sleep time

quick update/ramble

so my macbook should hopefully be in today (tuesday), and i’m teeming with excitement; i’m not a big computer kind of guy, but finally having a laptop that isn’t as slow as cold molasses is going to be a nice change… windows vista kicked the crap out of my laptop which wasn’t exactly the quickest thing to begin with. needless to say, if you’re ever shopping for a laptop, don’t buy a compaq… hell, i probably would’ve gotten more out of a shoe-box that someone wrote “computer” on with a sharpie.

but yeah, after a month of waiting it’s in this week and i’m pretty excited… also excited to be able to screw around with iMovie

tubski came last night for the night, good times were had by all

i now work every day until saturday which will be very nice… next week i only work monday to thursday, but keep in mind that two of those shifts are eight-hour customer service shifts. all-in-all it shouldn’t be too bad though

heather’s off to france and prague, i’ll miss her, but at least it’s only for ten days

… i need to buy my tickets for joel plaskett at alderney landing soon. crap.

sleep time, i work in the morning

i admit fault?

so maybe i watched too many teen movies when i was kid/a young teen and i got the wrong impression about heath ledger… he was actually a pretty good actor, i’ve got to say; not to say that i’m some sort of expert on the whole thing, but he played the joker really well and put a really good spin on it

would’ve helped if the air conditioning in the theatre hadn’t failed just before the showing we went to was to happen, and i am kind of annoyed that i spent $10 on some “movie pack” of food and basically got a small popcorn and a drink, but hey, people have to pay their rent somehow. there are already enough people pissing and moaning about the price of that stuff anyway, and considering the fact that i rarely go to see a movie in the theatre (tonight was my first time in about a year and a half or two years) it’s not that bad at all…  if you think about it, it costs about the same as a night of drinking would cost, but with going to see the movies, you don’t feel sick afterward… actually, the popcorn’s kind of doing a number on my stomach, but that’s not a huge deal

sorry if anyone out there is wondering how the hell a night of drinking costs $20, but i’ll let you in on my secret: spumante is $14.99 a bottle, so stop your whining (pun intended). if you’re going to act like a fool at a party because of liquor consumption, you may as well be thrifty about it

that’s my take on it, i could be wrong. hell, i was wrong about heath ledger

like how i tied everything together? yeah, i’m brilliant. pay me to write.

good watchin’

tura satana in the 1960s: faster, pussycat! kill! kill!

tura satana in 2007: she could still wreck you

it’s been decided: tubski and i are having a twenty four-hour “sugar boxx” marathon just to see tura satana karate-chop things… i’m pretty sure my favourite moment in history is when the seventy-year-old tura satana punches that beer bottle

hung out with heather tonight, hanging out with aislinn and jamie tomorrow night after work as far as i know. i have thursday off, and i don’t know what i’m doing on friday, although i have been invited out to see the new batman movie; i’m hoping we can get tickets, though

tubski’s up on sunday, and i think kyle got time off and may be coming down on saturday. surprise dee time? wait… she reads this. uh. HEY DEE, SATURDAY NIGHT, YAHHH TRICK YAHHHH.

i’m going to bed

thought vomit

so it dawned on me this week: i should probably start getting things together for university

maybe i’m thinking too far ahead, but i figure that i should beat the rush a little bit and maybe pick up a mini-fridge sometime soon… i don’t think that there’s much more that i’m going to need

i’m going to start selling some stuff on eBay quite soon; it’s mostly stuff like clothes that i don’t really wear, or maybe some random things, but probably just clothes and stuff like that. i mean, i’ll definitely donate some stuff to the salvation army, but for some of the band shirts, etc., i think i’m going to try my luck selling on eBay.

plus, it’s also some extra money in my pocket to get ready for next year with

safegrad ruined my sleeping schedule… that or pushed it fully into summer-mode, because now i find myself staying up rather late and waking up later on in the day. i’m not used to this getting nine to ten hours of sleep thing. it’s almost eliminating my need for coffee now. wow.

copy centre was nuts tonight. went to brock’s after work to hang out with him and aislinn.

i think i may drive up to halifax on saturday night to see picnicface at neptune theatre (corbin was mentioning that i should go). i may just crash there on saturday night, then drive back to the valley the next day for the bonfire that we’re having in black rock.

i guess i should start making plans in the morning/early afternoon.

also found out that my macbook isn’t going to be in for a little while longer… acadia tried ordering the macbooks on a purchase order, but apple said no to that, so they’re working out another way.

i’ll survive… i should sleep.

the last twenty-four hours

i’m pretty tired and just in from safegrad, with that in mind i’m going to make it so i don’t need to be overly-coherent.

- my external hard drive died and is non-recoverable, so i’ve lost ALL of my music (to put it into perspective, i had an iTunes playlist of over 10 000 songs), and all of my digital photos from the last four years

- yearbook selling and hanging out with people in wolfville was nice

- an encounter with a not-so-pleasant waitress made my food not want to settle properly

- i graduated honors with distinction and received the advanced placement english literature 12 medal. not trying to brag, just regurgitating information

- received some very nice scholarships; not as much as i would have hoped for, but the other ones went to deserving people, so i can’t complain or brood

- safegrad was pretty fun. highlight being hanging out at the pool, the downer being the chaperones losing the coffee that i had just purchased (they took it at the door and said they’d be taking it to some sort of holding area where they didn’t end up leaving it). also couldn’t smoke… almost got hypnotized, but it didn’t really work (i’m kind of skeptical about the whole thing. it just sounded like relaxation at a yoga class to me), it was fun hanging out with malcolm and everyone though

- just got in. i’ve been running on very little sleep for the past week and i think i’m ready to crash.

- still waiting on the macbook, but it should be in relatively soon so i’m still reeling with excitement.

- I’M ALL DONE HIGH SCHOOL. OOOOOH YEAH.
